Because she is SMART, and FUNNY, and KIND, and a CRAZY-GOOD FIGHTER but also PIG HEADED and A LITTLE BIT SCARY and has moments of really truly TERRIBLE JUDGMENT. And because she makes a friend, and making a friend isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Because Selim is the best, and Delilah sees that about him. Because they are two adult human beings who (mostly) act like it. Because they bring out the best in each other. Because they fight, and then make up. Because they don’t need each other, but they want each other’s company. BECAUSE I LOVE A GOOD FRIENDSHIP STORY OKAY.
